![]() It's been quite awhile since my Dummy started working. And now, due to some work issues, Dummy's work schedule has been changed back to normal working office hours... which means, no more off days during the weekdays for him, which means he will have lesser free time available for me and it also means, no one will be around to make me breakfast when I wakes up during the weekdays. So these days, I have been a very good girl, I made me own breakfast when I wakes up... and for today, here's what I had... I cut them into smaller pcs to fit into the Buns. Look rather yummy isn't it? As I added in slice of my favorite Lux Park - slighty salted butter. You people must be wondering what's so nice about my breakfast that I am actually posting it right? LOL! Actually... there's nothing special lah. Hahas! I did it plainly out of boredom, I thought it might be a nicer way to start my blog post for today. LOL! Very boring of me, I know that. Ha! Anyway, the weekdays have been sooooo bored for me since Dummy started work and I always have to keep planning on what to do or where to go while Dummy's busy at work or with his school stuffs. It's really boring for me because during the weekdays I did always stay home to clean the room after I had my meals, then for the rest of my day I'll just surf the net, online shopping, blog abit, else most of the time I'll be busy with watching Dvds that I borrowed from my aunt. But for this week, no more Dvds to keep me company as I have finished watching all the shows I borrowed the other time from Aunt and I'm freaking lazy to go over to her place to borrow new ones, due to the freaking humid weather. As my Aunt's house requires me to walk quite a distance from the bus-stop I alight to her block, hence I always end up postponing the day to go over to her place. LOL! I end up meeting Wandee on Tuesday noon to go Tampines Ikea to shop, purpose is to look for a storage box or cupboard that match my requirements to store Doudou's clothing and stuffs. End up, I gotten a wired-mesh basket to hook in my wardrobe for extra storage space while Wandee gotten a new set of Bed sheets for her bed. This makes me realized that ah, every time I go Ikea with Wandee, she will be the one ending up buying new stuffs for her room without plan, unlike me who always got nothing from the trip there with plans of getting something. >.<''' I took quite a number of pictures before going out to meet Wandee Now I know why my Dummy always love to comment on how much I look like Mickey mouse, especially with my specs on. >.<|| =) Later that evening, after Ikea, we went Giant to shop as well... as I wanna get ingredients to make Chocolate-coated Corn Flake Crunchies. I got very tempted to learn how to make those cookies on my own cause Dummy's neighbour treated us with lots of goodies and cookies on Deepavali last Saturday and their home-made Corn Flake Crunchies hooked me. It's very crispy and tasty, so much so that Dummy finished most of it, leaving me with 2 piece to try, this explains, no pictures of those yummy Crunchies to show you. LOL!! So I spent my Wednesday afternoon, trying to make those tasty Crunchies my own... It looks very very different from Dummy neighbour's Crunchies, theirs look much tastier and nicer. I tried my own Crunchies right after I got all the ingredients mixed together. I thought I some-how succeeded in the making, just that it doesn't appear to look as pretty as our neighbour's, in terms of the colour-tone of the Crunchies. It's until Dummy got home from work and tasted my Crunchies then he commented that its very hard. It's not crunchy at all like our neighbour's, then I know, I failed badly. It's because the Crunchies that our neighbour's made was sticky yet still very crunchy after days of keeping in an air-tight container, but mine turned hard and not sticky at all after keeping it in air-tight container for merely hours only. Very sad to know I failed making it because I never had failed in my baking before. :( Dummy mentioned that my portion of chocolate ain't enough thus it doesn't stick together. And also, I should have just poured the chocolate directly into the scooped cup of corn flakes instead of mixing and stirring the corn flakes together with the melted chocolate before scooping it into the small cups. But I did what I was instructed on the recipe I found online lei. Never mind, I shall try out Dummy's instruction in my next attempt. I'll then showcase my recipe to you people when I succeeded in my making. :) As for now, something nice to share with you people... was uploading pictures from my camera to my notebook and I found this picture. It's a picture of Honeydew, I took it purposely together with it's brand's tag. Dummy bought this Honeydew for me to try the other day when he saw it selling at the mini-mart downstairs of our house. Though the price is rather expensive compared to the normal Dews we usually see in the market but Dummy felt it did be nice to buy and try since we never had it before and it looks very pretty. It's like fake Honeydews that we see in cartoon or else where, like that Honeydew pic on the packing of the Japanese Brand Melon-favored Ice cream you can find them selling at NTUC? Anyway, we freeze it till its chill, then Dummy took it out to cut and serve, while Dummy's cutting the Dew, the sweet-hint of melon smell is rather strong, very nice sweet smell. It tasted very sweet, soft and juicy. Its totally worth the money to eat, for your info, Dummy bought it @ $5, $1.80 more compared to the normal Honeydews we usually eat. If you are those who loves to eat fruits or is very keen to try, you may wish to try your luck at NTUC supermarket, the brand tagged on the dew is called "A-MY". I happened to saw them selling at AMK Hub's NTUC @ $7.20 though. Ahhhh.... After blogging this, I am craving to eat this chilled Honeydew again. Shall ask Dummy to check if the mini-mart is selling the dew today, else I'll have to try my luck at the AMK Hub's NTUC liao. To my knowledge, they don't sell such kind of Honeydews daily. Alright I'm ending here for today. Till then, take care my friends. :) xoxo, a lifetime promise |
