 at 5:19:00 PMSimply too much updates! Too much for me to blog about... and this causes me to procrastinate a little when it comes to blogging. Not because I don't wanna share it with you people. So I suppose I'll just roughly blog a little here and there. =p Last weekend was great. And I really did enjoyed myself! As mentioned, I was meeting the 3 Dou Ahyi(s) for supper last Friday... It was actually a planned one. When I say 'planned', I mean 'plan it for a purpose', not just randomly for a meet-up supper. I am really touched by my Dear Dummy and the 3 Aunties for they remembered my birthday and plan a surprise for me with the coordination of Dummy. Seriously, it would have been a perfect plan if I hadn't saw the Birthday cake that Dummy tried to smuggle it home after work. But kaypo me went to check it out because I heard Dummy came home, rushing to the fridge to keep something. It just got me curious because usually Dummy would take his own sweet time to make his way to our room and greet me with a cheerful smile and that night, he did not. Initially I thought it was only Dummy's plan, to surprise me with a cake and let me had the chance to celebrate it with my 3 good friends since we're meeting-up for supper that very night. It's only till the later part... while on our way to our destination for supper. I sense some weirdness among Dummy and the 3 girls. Then I thought to myself, maybe the 3 Aunties already knew there's a cake for me. Cut the story short, the 3 good friends of mine had planned this surprise for me 2 weeks in advance and requested Dummy to coordinate with them. Also my very nice Dummy purposely rush to buy me a Birthday Cake on a rainy evening after his work, to add in to their plan. :) I shall let the pictures do the talking for this part. While waiting for Carman to knock off from work. We both got bored and started cam-whoring.   My shuai shuai Dummy.  I know I look unglam in this pic,but decided to upload it to share cause it looks rather funny to me. LOL!   Dummy got impatient with waiting as he's worryingthat the cake he left in the cake would melt.  Reached the Airport, Dummy's intention. Can see that he's waiting impatiently for the 3 Aunties whom are busy withdrawing $$.Dummy's anxious about the cake. Hahas!  When was the last time the 4 of us took a group photo together?! Answer, on my actual Wedding Day.So when's the next?  With Dummy Initially we wanted to settle our supper at T2 "Swesens" but there wasn't much food on their menu to offer us, so we ended up at "Wang Local Cafe". I still thought it was "Xing Wang Hongkong Cafe" though, but am too tired to change again.  Huiling rushing to finish up her food. I really salute her for her appetite.She managed to finish a bowl of mee-siam, 2eggs, 2 toast and a slice of my Birthday Cake that night.  Carman with her toast. LOL!   We end our night, taking the sky train to T2 for our Car back to home sweet home. While we walk pass the bench, I mentioned about how smart the designers were, to place such benches for people to sleep with much comfort while waiting for their flight in the middle of the night @ airport. And the Aunties went to try out, including Dummy, whom already tried before liao. LOL!  It's rather unglam, but they say its really comfortable lying there. >.<'''   Dummy is more special, he got pillow to hug. Hahas! Dummy's sleepy already.  That night, I received my Birthday present from the 3 Aunties... here's what they got for me.   With a pretty card too. The messages the wrote inside got me touched andI felt very fortunate for having them around me during this HUGE turn in my life.  Loves.My new Coach wristlet, can replace my old skinny wallet liao. Hehe! As for my Saturday and Sunday, Dummy fetch me back to Sembawang home before he went for his night shift. I got to stay till Monday, as Dummy wishes me to be happy on my Birthday. =) And during Sunday night my parents bought me a Birthday Cake as well as KFC home to celebrate my birthday with me as I was too lazy to go out, what's more its the 15th of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. I eat veggies on every 1st and the 15th, which means no meat for me on that day thus I didn't feel like going out for dinner. Instead I got mommy to bought me vegetarian food home for me. That night, mommy gave me a red packet as birthday present as she knows I'm in need of $$ more than anything else right now. Hahas. I didn't take any pictures that night as I was too lazy to move and wasn't well-dressed up for picture. :p On the actual day of my Birthday, Dummy brought me out for a dinner date. Just the 2 of us, rather simple affair. Dummy let me choose what and where I wish to dine for that night... And I chose to try out "Yuki Yaki" @ Marina Square, for they offer this DIY buffet Ice-cream which I long heard of but didn't had the chance to try it out.  Our table full of food, didn't take much picture in this partas we were rushing for time. I felt rather stupid with my choice to dine at Yuki Yaki though, after getting our seats. But still we continued with it. Here comes the DIY Ice cream part...   Dummy looked excited with the making of his own Ice cream. :)   Busy mixing his rum and raisins... Me with my Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The yellow part is Durain-flavour,Dummy says it tasted awful though.   Savoring his own mixed ice cream. My Birthday Cake for that night. My 2nd Cake from Dummy. Hehe!:) Not very nicely drawn, but well appreciated!  Blowing the "candles" There goes my cake...  Dummy happily mixed it with nuts and chocolate chips and ate all of it. LOL! After our dinner it's already 9plus coming 10. Most shops have already closed but there's still this shop called Prize Stage. Dummy and I find it rather interesting as it's our first time coming across such shops hence we hang around there for awhile, watching people catching bears. Dummy did change 10 dollar note into coins for me to play too, but I thought myself its rather wasteful as I'm such a lousy catcher thus I rather save up that dollar coins for me and Doudou's piggy bank. Dummy tried catching with 2 dollar though, he was hopping to catch the Dino toy for Doudou. But failed very badly. We then decided to end our night, watching Dvd in our room with Air-Con and tibits... as the movie theater at Marina Square had closed already.  In the lift to carpark. I am so glad that Dummy looks good in this red shirt I bought for him.Lucky my measurements of his size was right. It fits him very well. Most importantly, Dummy loves this shirt too. :)  On our way home... Enjoying the scenery of the nicely decorated streets.  It reminds me that soon, Christmas will be here. Should I get a simple gift for Dummy on this christmas?! Loves.
I had a nice Birthday Celebration this year... though its simple and a mini one. I really appreciate it lots. =) In the past, I always thought that I would only enjoy myself if I host a Grand or Huge Birthday Party, inviting all my friends, receiving all the presents and at the later part enjoy the process of unwrapping the presents I had received. But this year's Birthday totally changed my mindset. I truly enjoyed myself even though the celebration isn't huge or grand, even though there ain't much presents for me. At least now I know, I have my friends, I have my family and my dearest hubby. Seeing their efforts in making me happy, their efforts in finding time to celebrate this special occasion with me stands so so much more important than a grand/ huge Birthday Party and Birthday presents. Thank you Dummy! Thank you Daddy, Mommy and Sis! Thank you Wandee, Huiling and Carman! Thanks for the mini surprise, the presents, the cakes, your efforts and time. :) And also Thank you to friends who dropped me sms, messages and even phone calls to wish me Happy Birthday. Now, I'm anticipating for my next birthday... because that would be my very first birthday together with Doudou around, my very first celebration with my little family. Of course still welcomes the 3 Dou Ahyi and friends. xoxo, a lifetime promise |
